In normally, it's called rubberwood. But that name same make people confues about  it’s features and to it’s durability. May you don't know rubberwood also called Parawood (in Thailand) or Hevea - in Europe. That isn't known popularly.

 

What is rubberwood?                  

Actually, rubberwood is not considered good quality in the Western markets

May you don't know rubberwood also called Parawood (in Thailand) or Hevea - in Europe. That isn't known popularly.  Actually, rubberwood  is one of the more durable lumbers used in the manufacturing of today’s home funiture. Rubberwood has a dense grain character that is easily controlled in the kiln drying process.

There is one more important feature of rubberwood that is very important in today’s world. Rubberwood is the most friendly  with environment lumber used in today’s furniture industry. Different  from other woods that are cut down for the sole purpose of producing furniture, rubberwood is used only after it completes it’s latex producing cycle and dies. This wood is therefore eco-friendly in the sense that we are now using what was going as waste.

And one of the common uses is making FINGER JOINT BOARD.

Finger joint board pick up the main raw material from small natural wooden bars, which are match together in different types to make up the final product. And material mostly using making Finger Joint board is rubberwood


    

Advantages

         Originated from natural wood, stick wood has the following advantages:

  • No termite, warping
  • Variety of models, surface is processed well so high color fastness, scratch resistance and good impact.
  • The material is mainly derived from plantation so it can solve the problem of scarcity of natural wood
  • The strength is not inferior to solid wood if the level of processing is good

Applications

 

At present, furniture made from laminated wood has become quite popular in most major cities and industrialized provinces. Some applications of wood grafts in areas of life such as:

The process

The process of producing basic wood stick consists of the following steps:

 

  •   The raw material will be processed by Ripsaw, dividing the wood into standard bars.
  •   Treated wood is dried to remove moldy, termites
  •   Used wood laminating machines to match the wooden sticks together by a special glue follow in the type of graft is installed by default
  •   After pairing together into large panels, treat with glue dry to increase adhesion
  •   Put in sanding paper to smooth the surface
  • Finishing products (veneer, laminate or paint finish)
